2010 Thunderbolt Enduro (FWD 4 Cylinders) Rules
Chassis/Body:
1. All cars must be front wheel drive 4cyl American or foreign. The vehicles
not allowed are Jeeps, trucks, sports utility, and rear/mid engine
vehicles. All cars must have a steel roof. Sun roof must be closed in
with metal. The wheels must be 13”,14”,or 15” and a max of 6”
wide.
2. All flammable contents of the interior of the car must be removed,
Example: carpeting, trim, headliner panels, seats, etc. The dash will
be allowable, but is recommended to be removed. An aluminum
racing seat is REQUIRED. 5 point seat belt harnesses and window
net are MANDATORY.
3. Doors must be welded shut or bolted securely shut with minimum of
1”x 1/8” steel strapping (both sides of the doors and on the top of the
doors to the roof). The front and rear bumpers must remain stock
and all air bags must be removed or disabled.
4. All glass and plastic trim must be removed from the outside of the
car, including headlights, tail lights, marker lights, mirrors(interior
and exterior), grills, door handles and any other misc. exterior parts.
The windshield must be replaced with a window screen and steel
reinforcing bars or straps are MANDATORY in front of the driver.
No other cutting/chopping of the car is permitted.
Roll cage:
1. A roll cage is MANDATORY. It must consist of minimum of a 4
post design with X bars and 4 door bars on driver’s side and 3 bars on
the passenger side. The cage must also be securely mounted to the
frame/unibody in at least 4 places.
Suspension/Tires:
1. All steering and suspension components must remain stock, no
modifying, beefing-up, or replacing with heavy duty parts permitted.
Stock 13”, 14”, 15” x 6” wheels permitted. Tires must be 65, 70, or 75
series “DOT” “stock type” approved production tires only. No beadlock wheels permitted.
Engine:
1. Radiator must be in stock location, with anti-freeze allowed. No other
cooling systems permitted. Radiators must have a catch can for
overflow. Fuel cell highly recommended but a gas tank is sufficient. The fuel
cell or gas tank must be securely mounted and separated from the
driver’s compartment.
Max of a stock 4 cylinder engine of same manufacture. Turbo’s are not
allowed. Engine must remain stock, Oem cam shafts only. Headers
will be permitted with the use of a single 2-1/4”o.d. exhaust exiting
from underneath body past drivers seat. CAM LIFT WILL BE
CHECKED DURING TECH INSPECTION.
Decals/numbers:
Cars must have 18” high numbers on each side and on roof and 4” high
numbers on front left fender.

colors and be easily viewd from scoring tower, MANDATORY. Cars with illegible numbers may not be scored)
Safety:
Fire extinguisher must be installed with in sight and reach of the driver
and track personnel. No fuel lines are permitted in driver’s area unless
completely encased in metal tubing with both ends exiting past driver’s
area. Windshield screen and drivers nets are mandatory. 3” seat belt
and shoulder harness are mandatory. Belts must be bolted to cage and or
frame. No frayed or torn belts will be permitted; any car found with
such will not be permitted on track surface until replaced. Batteries are
not permitted in driver’s compartment area.
Fire extinguishers MUST be securely fastened.

**All cars are to be clean and in presentable condition for each race**
** If the rules don’t say you can, you can’t**
**In the event of a conflict between the class rules and the speedway
general and safety rules, the speedway rules take precedence.**
**Any cars found deficient in the above stated rules will only be permitted
to run at the discretion of the track safety/tech personal**
**Thunder Mountain Speedway reserves the right to make changes as needed to
equalize the division**
